Ok so Iam in the middle of fitting my brembos on the FR, I've knocked the pins out and greased the pads and put them in but was wondering if they should have like a pad retaining clip like in the pictures below of these fiat brembos I found on google, the silver clip one that fits under the pins and on the pads ?

Wha if I don't use them ? Iam guessing I can't or the pads will be all over the place And where can I get them from ?

Ok apart from that retaining spring that goes around the pins, are there any other metal clips that fit inside the calipers where the pads sit.

I literally have the brembos with nothing in them other than the pins. See inside this calipers looking past the pistons, there looks like metal clips the length of the calipers, although this isn't a LCR brembo pictured ?

They don;t generally have anything other than pins and the retaining springs.
I assume your calipers have the stainless pad sliders fitted to them?

Occasionally youll get an anti vibrate/anti squeal shim that fits to the back of the pads and fits inside the piston too

Stainless pad sliders ? Don't think so, like I said nothing other then the pins.

So do I need pad sliders and retaining clip ?

No shims fitted to the back of my ferodo ds-2500 pads ?

Pictured is all I got

Oh 1 sec, do they bolt to the caliper ?, one at the top and bottom, they might be stainless my mine were black with brake dust to tell.

well after lots of buggering about and a few pin kits later, ive got some pad retaining clips that fit.

first off i got the MK1 Focus RS Brembo pin kit for £38, as ive read few a places that there the same caliper......well there not. they might share the same pads, but the RS caliper is wider as the pins are longer and the retaining clip doesnt fit either, in the end i got some Renault Megane 225 pin kit, £60 for both sides, the pins dont fit but the retaining clip does and thats the bit i needed. The actual brembo kit for the LCR caliper from Seat is over £150 for both sides :wtf:
i'll sell off on ebay the kits iam not using, should see about £70 back of the £100 i spent

the Focus RS kit
