Broken headlight clips

hi all,

the plastic fixig clips on my drivers headlight snapped when i was "fixing" something. so now its loose and pointing at the ground!

i cant find a replacement anywhere as mine is a gti so has twin bulbs so im wondering if my only bet is the stealers!?!?

happened the week i planned to fit the hids too,

Daft idea and i know is bodging,but if you have all the clips super glue them back on,but do a few coats and make sure u fill all the holes and gaps!

ye, tried that and it worked for a while, bt never as strong as before!! and one clips lost so im stuck!!!

The two bottom clips on mine a slightly snapped but I managed to bodge it together. You really need the top one to secure it properly....

You could do what I did with my fog lights when the clip snapped off that. Get a piece of metal with two holes in it and screw one into the plastic and the other hole can be a replacment for the original mounting hole thing. Worth a try if its possible.

Your best bet is to email all the breakers on ebay and see if they have one, I suspect a new one from the dealer would be rather expensive....
