Evening all,

I'm new here, I ponder through some posts and have always found this site helpful and I'm wondering if you can help me now.

I own a seat leon fr mk2 I have just purchased LED sidelights which are great and I thought I would upgrade my main and dipped beam too. I purchased osram nightbreaker plus after much reading but on changing my bulbs I don't see a difference in light
I need something to match the LED sidelights any suggestions please without having to purchase an after market xenon kit

Thank you xx

You will struggle to find bulbs that match LED sidelights. LED headlight bulbs are awful and don't give off enough light. MTech bulbs are supposed to be good. Other than changing to proper Xenons you could try HID's but they don't work too well with reflector lights.

What sort of cost do you think for full xenons?

I was considering hid kit but concerned with after market kits

You could retrofit full xenon headlights, BUT and it is a big BUT, you will also need to fit everything else that a car with xenons fitted as standard will have, such as self levelers & headlamp washers if fitted
if it has headlamp washers in the bumper, then you will need to fit those for it to be MOT legal, which means changing your front bumper.

You can't fit LED dipped beam & main beam bulbs to a standard headlight as the reflectors are not designed to work with LED bulbs, they're designed to work with halogen bulbs

I've got led sidelights & using Halfords 'extreme brilliance' halogen bulbs for main & dipped beams.

That sounds like a major task
Something I wouldn't want to even start

I ether stick with what I have or do the hid route

No worries, glad to help :D

I'm not a big fan of HID's myself to be honest, but you could try hidsdirect website and see what's available.

Or stick with the Osram nightbreakers or try the Halfords ones. Halfords ones were on a BOGOF deal when I got mine.
