Just been searching through the various threads on car setup for Camber and Toe-in.
I’m looking to double check the Cordy is all as it should be for a track beastie. On that basis, is the following about as good as I’m going to get without adjustable top mounts or shims?
Front:
Camber = 1.5 degrees, Toe out = 0.02 (2 minutes)
Rear:
I’m confused – is there some room for adjustment on the rear without shims or not? Or is it pretty much stuck as it was from the factory unless you get the shims?

Thanks.

jason, im no expert on track settings for camber and toe in/out but im pretty sure there is no adjustment on the rear what so ever apart from what you said regarding camber shims. ive had afew mk2 axles apart now and there isnt anything on them to adjust.

What tyres are you running?

1-1.5 of neg camber is fine for 'road' tyres, much as possible for semi slicks.

As said, no adjustment as standard for the rear.

Thanks guys. I've been using Colway/Markgum F2 tarmac rally semi-slick tyres but struggling to get those now, so trying out R888's.

Car is also used on road with normal road tyres so I can't go mega extreme.

I'm running a 1.5 degree camber and the tracking is dead straight or even toe out by 0.2 I have had in the past.

I have had the rear camber & toe adjusted but this was done by shimming the stub axel at the rear.

just had a look in septembers golf+ mag and venom motorsport sell camber shims for £17. they are listed for a polo4 which i know has the same rear axle as a mk2/cordoba. it doesnt say by how much they adjust though.

colway went bust i think, il ask my old man what he is using now
Yeah, they went bust a while ago. A Polish firm called Markgum bought the moulds and went into production. I managed to get 1 set of these off eBay, but they now seem to have disappeared.

It was a shame as my parents live in Durham so I used to get Colways direct from the factory when I went to see them.
