Can worn injector seals cause blue smoke on startup?

Just got back from Midland VW and they done a smoke test to rule out any boost leaks and as for the blue smoke on startup issue, they said it could be the injector seals that are worn and letting fuel/oil seap into the cylinders when the engine is sitting for sometime which causes the blue smoke on startup and the rough idle on startup.

This all happened after the turbo was change last august. Now my personal view on it was blue smoke on startup was caused by worn valve stem seals. What would you recommend causes the issue?

They quoted me £190+ for parts and 1.5hrs labour to change the 4 injectors seals and new stretched bolts.

Would like to put an end to this blue smoke on startup issue and if its worth changing the injector seals. PS, there does not seam to be any oil loss

Im interested to know if this cures your problem...i have been having exactly the same problems not too bad tho.

Is yours harder to start aswell then the engine is warm?

Its common after turbo failure but I just cant seen to find out what the prob is to sort it, same thing has happened to mates MK4 Golf.

Someone must have a clear idea for a fix. I dont want to throw money at the car when I cannot guarantee that it will fix the prob. So trying to gather as much info and costs before making a move for a fix

From the research I did it does point towards injector seals, I was thinking that or injectors them selves and the seals are the easiest to replace first. One way to check the seals would be to take the fuel filter out and check for any oil contamination/build up in there.

I went to shark for dpf delete and remap Wednesday and they said the blue smoke on start up is caused by the injetor recall being carried out to fast and who ever replaced the injectors never set them up properly.

As seat don't get as much per hour doing recall work than carrying out everyday work they just rush them in and out again.

My injectors are the ones from factory and the engine is a 1.9TDi, you must be relating to the 2.0TDi but looks like you guys are have your ideas set on injectors/seals.

Would this also cause low mpg figures?
