carburettor tuning

hi ive got an ibiza mk 2 1.4 8v now i know you can crank a lot of power from you carburettor from fitting a set of motorbike or other aftermarket carbs, however ive been told you can get a decent increase in power from tuning your standard carb, whats the best way to do this
and what kind of performance gain can i expect?

Unless it's a very early 93/94 first thing to do is make sure it's got a carburettor ?

single point injection looks like a carb at a glance mind if that's what ya thinking

to be honest though to get a 'decent' power increase you are tuning the wrong engine, you'll be better off tuning the brake's and chassis and make use of what power it has already
