cd player problems

i have the standard head unit, single CD slot...with no cd changer...SKIPSSS excessive skips...iv run my laser cleaner in it, and its sorted the problem a lil bit, but every little bump it skips...is this standard 2 every leon FR (180) or do i have a dodgy 1...im considering buyin a nu hu with bluetooth...but will this happen with my new hu??

They aren't the most robust of CD players, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was slowly dying on you.

Should definitely be covered under warranty if the car still is. Not something dealers keep in stock though, so you might be asked to remove it and live without one for a while, depending on how the dealer operates.

i was intending on getting a new hu anyways...but was trying to put it off for a few weeks...to save a bit of cash, but this jst means tha i will "have to" get it early....not that thats a problem tho haha

Get the dealer to fix it 1st at least you can then put it back in when you sell it or sell the radio on ebay
