Hi all

Just a quick and easy one on sure.

Ive just been told my offside brake light has gone. I was just wondering is it pretty easy to replace?

I asume i have to either get to or remove the rear light cluster to replace it. Hopefully thats it but wanted to double check.

Thanks

Muzzy

can you change a bulb?

open boot.
on the offside pull away the part of the trim thats behind the light cluster. (there is a bit cut out just for this)
then it should be fairly obvious what to do to change the bulb.

***see post #4 for pics :)***

Here you go some pics.
The light is split into two sections per side. - One section is lights and indicator, the other which is in the boot itself is brake reverse and fog i think).

This photo shows the recess inside the boot for access to the rear offside indicator and rear light.
(trim has been removed for photo, no tools needed).
The red arrows indicate where the clips are that keep the bulb holders in place. Simply push these towards the middle to release. The second pic shows the bulb holder released.
To replace, simply push back in, the clips will hold it.

Just changed my brake/tail light bulb in my Mk1 as someone told me my brake light was out. Seem to have developed a front brake light too- ie the front sidelight now lights up when I press the brake pedal!

Any ideas?!
