right guys. As the title states im making a guide for the removal and fitting of the clutch and flywheel. I know a fair few ppl have problems with these and would probably be happy doing it them selves if they knew how. It is not an extremly hard job just as long as you know what ur doing.
This is where you lot come in. I need some pics if ppl have them of the area's around here. I know some of u are camera happy when removing bits and bob's and may have some.

Things i need.
Hub on passenger side.
Drive shaft
Starter motor
Engine mounts front and back.
Any thing you might have that i can use.

You can email them to me if u dont know how to post them or just put them up in this thread.

Im sure i know all bolt sizes but if u want to contribute so that im can make sure im right then your welcome to.

short answer is this:

lift car, remove driveshafts from gearbox end.
remove starter motor & gear linkage cables.
drain gearbox oil
support engine, and gearbox (seperately)
remove engine - gearbox mounting bolts
undo rear gearbox mount, undo front engine mount
catch the gearbox.... it's heavy (but at least it's 4kg lighter now you drained the oil)
remove clutch, and replace remembering to have bought clutch centering tool
refit gearbox, and put all the stuff back together. remember to fill with oil - it will settle & you won't have put enough in.

If i knew how to do it i wouldnt pay somebody else to do it. Its not all to do with paying the labour charges either i like to get hands on and have ago myself and a detailed guide with pictures is very helpful.

I`ve done a few mods/repairs on the car that if it wasnt for some of the guides i would of had to pay sombody else to do it.

So aslong as the guide is clear and detailed with pictures i`d say go for it.

Cant see why we cant have a separate guides sticky at the top?
