I’m thinking of getting my car coded by someone I’ve seen on instagram but before I ask for quotes etc I was wondering if anybody else has had anything coded to their leon?

I really like the needle sweep feature and the chirp when locking/unlocking.

Basically I want to know what is worth getting which are the coolest features

Why don’t you buy an obd eleven and do it yourself? Lots and lots you can do and it’s super easy, Costs about 50 quid with the dongle and membership but it’s well worth it.

Think a guy on here is selling one too... be worth it so you can pick and choose what you want. :)

Agree i use obdeleven. Get the pro version. Theres a obd forum aswell as a thread on here showing what can be coded etc. Also gives u option of reverting back etc if there is something u dont like.

How much are you paying for this? It's really simple stuff to code in so they shouldn't be charging the earth for it.

In answer to your question, folding mirrors on one click of the fob is a handy feature. You can also have the backgrounds on the displays changed, I set mine to carbon.

The chirp etc can be done via Carista. Can be had for £10 off amazon!

also needle sweep and a host of other features, search for Carista on here!

edit - (here) https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/carista-app.444059/page-29#post-4885316

and I didn’t mean to quote just @ray post, meant to try and add all but it went wrong ha!

This does look really interesting, I will definitely look more into this. Seems more worth it as I only really want the needle sweep, locking chirp and possible wing mirrors fold when locking.

I’ve been looking into this carista a little and found that it can be used to turn on park pilot on the stereo screen if you have rear parking sensors. I am getting them fitted soon from an auto electrician and was wondering if it would work with them as they won’t be factory fitted

I'm unsure tbh, maybe ask within that thread or search within it. I think from memory that feature has been hit or miss if its successfully worked.

Because you are adding a new feature and as in the sensors, I would hazard a guess they would need long coding in? Long coding etc is not something Carista does.

If you aren't far from Derby/Nottingham, I'd be happy to code anything you need for free. All you'd have to do is travel to me.

Are the parking sensors you're getting the OEM style ones or the 3rd party ones as mentioned in the thread you made about having them fitted? OEM ones (i.e original style ones fitted by SEAT) can be coded quite easily to show up on the infotainment screen.

I have no idea, I am just getting an auto electrician to fit them, they have fitted them on loads of different cars so I’m assuming they are not OEM. If I could buy the OEM myself I could get the to just fit it for me but I’m not sure where to buy them from

Also as I just have the standard leon tdi se, My wing mirrors don’t fold in when i long press the key. Is this something Carista could enable? Or do I just not have the power folding mirrors

Does your mirror switch look like this?

Yes but it doesn’t have that icon in the top left which I assume is the power folding. Thanks, looks like I won’t be able to code that then which is a shame but I’m sure the other features will make up for it

Correct, the top left lets you manually fold the mirrors. If you don't see that unfortunately no power folding mirrors!
