Coil tfsi

Anyone had a problem with the coil being replaced on the tfsi ? Just had a new one fitted on mine ( ripped out of an FR sitting in the showroom coz there isn't a coil in the country). Apparently it's a fault with the engine cover/oil filler cap instead of draining moisture or water towards the front of the car it drains to the back and fills up the coil for a spot of corrosion. Not a recall because not enough have suffered with the same. Garage were great and have done a repair to stop it happening again. I hope !

have a search for coilpack on here - there must be pages and pages of threads about it. Didn't realise it had affected the new Leons too.

Given the reason for it happening, others are bound to not be far behind!

surely its not the same problerm though as the old 1.8T's?

If it's a fault in the design of the engine cover, surely it's only a matter of time before others suffer the same problem?

different fault, but moisture related...

I'd whip the plug out, grease the seals & that might prevent some moisture ingres
