Tried to free them off but they aint happening!
want to lower car,would it be ok to remove the little helper spring?

you may find its full droop its extended and holds the springs in some compression.
MOT fail if the springs are loose on full droop. (jacked up)

got you now! so helper spring keeps spring positioned wen theirs travel

yes.
they crush down flat when loaded but extend on strut extension so the springs dont dislocate.
If you remove helper spring you would need to get longe rmain spring to maintain the overall length.
