Hi

I have ready numerous posts now some saying you have to have the DPF removed for a remap others saying it is fine with a remap (possibly with the 140bhp models)
I have been on Awesome site and ***** and both don't seem to cater for the CR170, Awesome site says it works on everything apart fro the 170bhp with DPF.
Can someone please clarify on what and where I can have the car mapped in the Manchester/NW area.

Thanks

lol that's only coz S hark never updates their website, have a look under Audi section on their for the CR 170

No worries Graham car isn't coming until Sat and there is no rush but the TT does show up :) it costs as much as revo :( just want a quick gain for not too much money. I had revo on my PD130 and was quite expensive when you can get remaps done for a lot less.
Fozzy will get round to DPF removal at some point but just getting the car so don't want to start butchering bits until warranty runs out.

The CR engine has a lock on the ECU which means the ECU has to be removed and the board soldered to bypass the lock. The older PD engines are remapped through the OBDII port, so that is why some places wont touch them.

Good luck!

Now that I didn't know, will steer clear for now then.

thanks

Is that still in place? I know my 1.2TSi had to be removed but I've now been told that they can map through the port now

Thanks for the video, I have been reading up on the ecu lock and the consensus is that ecu are locked for cars in late 2009. Mine is an october 59 plate is there any chance it is not locked and can you tell just by looking at the ecu part numbers etc. or possibly by vagcom.

Thanks

You could always get a bluefin from superchips and try it yourself, plus if it does work then they remove your ecu and do it that way at no extra cost so you haven't lost anything, hell you could probably just send it back and get a refund if you wanted
