Has any one fitted the CR170 turbo to the cr 140?

I think that the later cr140 have the same injectors as the cr170 so what sort of results? Same as CR170 remaped? 200bhp+ with dpf?

I still need a bit more reasearch, but I understand that the seat exeo and the audi a4 still have the turbo seprate from the manifold so manybe a manifold of one of these cars would allow easier fitment of a gtb turbo.

Thanks in advance,

Well further research gives the following.

1 - £500 - Remap 180 bhp 300lbft approx
2 - £850 – Remap + dpf delete 185 bhp 300lbft
3 - £1200 - Remap + 170 turbo 210 bhp 320lbft (350lbft pos, but lowered to protect clutch especially as 4x4)
4 - £2650 - Remap + 170 turbo hybrid + dpf delete + clutch
5 - £2800? - Remap + GTB1756 turbo + manifold + dpf delete + clutch

Any thoughts, anyone?

Blimey, here's a blast from the past! Where ya been all these years?

Option 3 for me.
Option 5 sounds a bit expensive, however if you're going to keep the car for years and years and years maybe not so bad.

Isn't an Exeo a North South engine rather than East West? If so the manifold wouldn't be retro-fittable (asuming we're talking fitting this into a Leon as we're in the Leon section).

Personally I'd rather start off with a car with the 170 engine and hope, as is often the case, that VAG have uprated some of the internals from the factory. You get better suspension and brakes with the 170 plus bigger wheels, nicer seats etc etc depending of course on what else you're going to uprate?

Anything after option 3 would really need Cupra sized brakes, better springs and dampers and so on, and then there's insurance issues.

I'm getting old, I go for the easy options nowadays.

Well its for an Octavia Scout (4x4). They only came in the 140 tdi, but to me its only right that I try and maximize the 4x4's grip. Your right I'll go at least to 312mm brake with uprated pads. Not sure on suspension as I like the way the scout rides, so maybe some nice arb's. I guess R32, S3 or newer R might be a good place to start looking for those?
I'm here as you Leon guys seem to mod the tdi's a bit more than others.

You can pick Cupra brakes up for around £400 to 500 with minimal miles on. 312mm brakes are even cheaper.
Anti roll bars will be available fairly cheaply from Whiteline or somewhere I'd think, assuming Aussies get 4x4 VAG stuff(?) to develop their gear on.
