Cupra 280 epc light and start stop error!

Had my cupra 280 for a couple weeks now it's a 2015 plate and recently after I switch the engine off i hear a beeping noise coming from the engine bay for a while after switch off. So my first question, is this normal?

Secondly, today after my commute home from work I parked up at my house and as I parked up the EPC light appeared and the car told me max revs 4k and then start stop error? Paired with this my engine fan was incredibly loud after the ignition was off.

All this is worrying me and I feel like returning the car to the dealer and cancelling my finance agreement as it's still within my 28 day cancellation period if there are issues with the car.

Help guys?

Regardless of whether or not you actually cancel the agreement I would 100% return the car to them and make the issues known to them, as The car should be in the advertised condition.

Yes I'll be 100% taking it to them tomorrow and having a stern word with them, it was an approved used so for something to go wrong 2 weeks after taking the car it's not looking very good.

I agree - 100% - otherwise they'll only ask where the rest of it is.

My EPC light and EML light came on in my car along with the start/stop error (I think the ECU just disables start/stop when it detects an engine fault), and it turned out to be a cylinder coil.

I told the dealer to get it repaired for free or I'd use my rights under the consumer act as I was within 6 months of ownership, don't let them wriggle out of what ever it is pal.

Beeping is normal, its the relays etc turning off.

EPC and EML is usually the turbo actuator being faulty - Have a search there are a few threads about it.

Only way to check is get it scanned by the dealer to check the error code.

I am experiencing similar issue with my leon cupra 280. The EPC light is on and the car dies off at the first start up if i don't give it enough gas to stay on. Did you find what the issue was with yours? I got a message of start stop error as well.
