Taking mine into IMG Warrington on Friday for diagnostics. If it's a simple refill it's only £29 and the only thing not covered by warranty is stone damage, which I can't see any evidence of. I'll update once I've had the work done.
Where do I look Mate on mine I wouldn’t know where to start Cheers

If you look through the lower grill at the front then the condensor (aircon radiator) is the first item in line for stones being fired through the grill - the gaps are large enough to admit quite large gravel.

If yours looks like the surface of the moon then this is a likely exit point for your aircon gas and gets classed as 'driver damage' by the warranty process.

I tried to argue that the it was a design fault of the grill, letting in projectiles big enough to ruin the condensor, but no - it's due to following too close in traffic, the same as stone chips.

After the condenser was replaced (£800) I took the front bumper off and fitted an aluminium mesh over the inside of the grill to prevent it reoccurring.

Cheers I will take a look but i will kick off if it’s not under warranty after 5 months of ownership

Given the state of our roads it does sound a design flaw, especially when a simple mesh can protect it. I assume you mean Lookers in Stockport, if so IMG Warrington isn't far but I've been told they need the car for 3-4 hours.

Jeez are they doing it under warranty or at your expense ?

Good news, it's being done under warranty. Apparently there's a bolt somewhere around the front bumper that has been rubbing against a pipe causing the coolant to leak out. I have to book it back in for the repair.

Picked the car up today and they've told me the car has been hit by something and that has caused the damage to the pipe. It's all quite bizarre as the plastic grill is clearly damaged on the drivers side, but I've never noticed it whilst cleaning the car. IMG have still done the repair to the aircon FOC probably due to their original diagnosis. How they missed it on first inspection is anyone's guess. All in all I'm happy but I'll still have to get the grill replaced at some stage unless I use super glue.

I'm all for helping the environment but how the hell can it be so expensive?

Its a new gas with a GWP rating of 4, a lot lower than R134a, so they charge for that

It's ludicrously expensive, I wonder if it's that much more expensive to produce or are they jumping on the environmental bandwagon?

Took mine today I thought I was going to have to fall out with them as soon as I got through the door he said Have you been told the cost of a regass to which I said hopefully it’s a warranty job after only a few months of ownership ,
he started quoting me they should be done every 2 years to which got my back up ,anyway he went to sales and luckily the guy who sold me the car was in and he said we will sort it ,they rang me earlier evidently the compressor or condenser I can’t remember which is leaking and they have ordered the part they gave me a Ibiza fr what a cracking little car it is like a go kart.

That's a problem with Aircon, its naturally evaporates, quicker if its not used a lot.
Two years is about right to have your aircon regassed but you will know as it either wont be cold in summer or dehumidifies in winter.
That's ment to be one of the reasons VAG Aircon is always on and it actually has to be turned off,
That's good they found a fault with the condenser and you get your regas free with that.
