Has anyone heard any details of what will be going on at the CUPRA Ateca launch events next weekend? The only information that I've seen is that the official launch is next weekend.

In particular, will there be any special offers? Next weekend is looking rather busy, but I've got the Monday off which would be better for me if it doesn't mean missing out on a deal.

I’m going to my local dealers launch event in an hour or so.

I’ll ask them about special offers that me may be on the cards and post back later.

I thought the launch events were supposed to be next weekend? Does this mean there's not an 'official' launch event?

I'm probably going to be near my dealer on Monday, so I was going to pop in and ask them if they know what's going on.

I got a phone call on Thursday asking if I wanted to attend. I said yes even though I’m not wanting to change my Cupra. However if there is a good deal on the Cupra Ateca, who knows

I know it's cheeky, but could you check the boot and see if there's a spacesaver spare. That looks like one without the design pack :)

Been to the dealer and noted the following:

Unable to purchase and get any deal as Seat/Cupra have not put details up on Dealer system.

Model was a Comfort pus Sound Pack

Dealer also has a Design model en-route from Spain which he is putting in the road in a week or two so I’ll go test drive that when it arrives.

Popped into SEAT Birmingham today and they are in the process of clearing part of their showroom for a Cupra-corner.They already have a white Cupra Ateca which has the design and comfort pack, but standard alloys ie doesn’t have the bronze bits.
They have a black one on route with the design, comfort and sound pack.
The branch manager had taken the white one home,so will be having a look next week, with a view to test driving it soon after.
The rep that I spoke to was a bit in the dark and asked me where I was getting my info from and this seems to be across the board really, with a general lack of info and the configurator not being much help.
I mentioned that I would be looking at a comfort and sound pack with pano roof and he mentioned a March delivery at the earliest.
*Disclaimer,as I know that this has been discussed before but...
I was given a printout and for what I had spec’d,the pano sunroof includes:
‘advanced multi-colour interior ambient lighting with led interior illumination and led illuminated glove box with glasses storage delete’.
The comfort and sound pack lists ‘advanced comfort and driving pack plus.Space saver spare wheel, electric tailgate, beats audio, winter pack’
Incidentally, design pack is showing Brembo brakes,19”copper wheels, black pack.

I happened to be in the region of my local dealer this afternoon (picking up my Leon after servicing at a nearby indy :)). Since they had replied to a Facebook post that the launch event was going to take place the weekend of 1st December, I thought they might have some details. Nope, completely wrong. No idea what was going on. As far as they know the official launch date for the CUPRA Ateca is 3rd December and SEAT "won't allow them" to register any before that which means they weren't prepared to commit to offering a test drive next Monday. The salesman did comment that SEAT usually gave them 'months' of advance notice of the events to give them time to prepare for them. Come on SEAT, this is a complete shambles. Anyone would think that they wanted CUPRA as a standalone brand to fail...

Bizarre,as I had a follow up call today with an offer of a test drive on Wednesday or Thursday.I’m working,so said that I’d pop in for a look around and arrange a test drive over the following few days. Will post up about how it pans out!

Had a test drive of one yesterday and absolutely loved it. Currently negotiating the part exchange of my current Mazda Cx5 and expect to agree it in the morning and put a deposit down. Unfortunately Fife Seat could not find one in the spec I wanted so it will be 16 weeks and a 19 plate (Red, Comfort pack and sunroof). They do have 2 Cupra's though! One with Design and Comfort pack, and one with just the Comfort pack.
The test drive was a mix of slow town, motorway and an A road with some overtaking, mixing between Cupra and Comfort modes. The car feels so planted and even with wet road did not manage any wheel spin. My old Leon Cupra 280 which was APR remapped would just eat front tyres for breakfast all the time. Smooooooth machine.

My local dealer has two in. One fully specced up in the showroom and another waiting to be registered as a demonstrator. I'm not entirely surprised though as Bristol Street Motors are a bunch of clowns which is why my last car was eventually bought elsewhere. I'm really getting hacked off now because pending a test drive and the right deal (including being on a 19 plate) I'm ready to sign on the dotted line...

16 weeks might be slightly longer than comfortable. MOT is due near the end of April. Might need to put plans on hold and start looking again next year...

The dealership that I’m in communication with is a BSM,which I’m very, very wary of.However, things are going in the right direction at the moment.I’m quite relaxed about it all at the moment and will see what deals are to be done in due course.
I’m very keen to see what’s on offer from the likes of Carwow, drive the deal etc. This usually results in some decent deals from the main dealers.
