Im looking to lower my cupra, i was first initally just looking for some springs untill i found some coilovers from DPM for bascily the same price.

Linky

Anyone got a set off these?? They seem to go to be true for that price

Cheers!

im also wanting to lower mine more so to update the springs so would be curious to see what people say. i'v found "cheap" lowering springs on ebay for a little over £60 but i suppose the general consensus of people would say you get what you pay for...

mk4 golf forum guys say they are good which is the same platform as the leon, guess for that much money can't really loose

Buy cheap, buy twice!

They are the "best" set out of the cheap ones out there but not good materials and wont last overly long! mates cupras had em on for 6 months and is now changing

Just the material is degrading, paint on springs flaking off etc. Same old thing, its cheap - but cheap for a reason! MUCH better off saving an extra £200 and spending that £400 on Weitec coilies. They are KW shockers but not top notch stainless steel, but still VERY good quality and the best everyday kit to go for.

Im not just saying this becuase im a "brand *****" ill happily try the cheaper stuff. Ie Creations silicone pipe work, just the same quality as force but half the price!

You don't even need to go as far as Weitec's but I'd avoid JOM's myself. Good to start with but I'd imagine quality might suffer after not too long..

I have been running AP's on advice from AmD to choose these over KW's and Weitec's.. I didn't require coilies for the track but I didn't want budget c**p.

£399 including fitting, setup just how I wanted them for fast-road use and the ride height is spot on. Have been so happy with mine. Not a single issue and been on them for 7 months now.

Weitec's we're £460 but are made of THE SAME materials as AP's.. AmD have also had fewest warranty problems from AP compared to KW/Weitec.
KW/Weitec/AP are all made from the same materials.

But the choice is yours bud... :)

KW and Weitec are different materials - just changing to KW now and mates got weitec, BUT they are alllll made in the same factory so all much of a muchness! Sorry, I totally forgot about AP - yes, very good "budget" kit - prefered more so over FK which have some leaky shock issues??
I am by nature a Koni *****, but KW 50/40 is happening in a couple of weeks for this season. Never know - next season ill be back to Koni adj damping coilies! LOL!!!

But AP - go for AP or Weitec!

Yep, all made in same factory those 3. All good but if it's a good set of coilovers with very few problems, go for AP's, or Weitec's.

If I was on the track alot, I'd no doubt have some KW's as they can take more of a pounding ;)
