CUPRA introduces “Tribe Editions” of the Formentor, Leon, Leon Sportstourer and Terramar, blending rebellious character with sustainable innovation. The exclusive editions feature a new individualisation concept for customers with a bold outlook, who value striking design and demand contemporary sustainability with a twist.

The Tribe Editions introduce a new exterior colour – Manganese Matt – as well as unique interior design concepts such as 3D knitting technology for the bucket seats, bio-based paint for certain elements such as air vents and dashboard, and new alloy wheels incorporating 20% recycled material.

I feel like they’re “devaluing” the fancy colours/materials by offering them on the lower power variants

To be honest they’ve softened the brand by releasing all the Cupra specific models with lower power options but 🤷‍♂️. Cupra was about power & driving experience, now they seem to be more bothered about fancy colours and sustainability

^^^^ I'm with you on that East Yorkshire.

It's almost like there's a long term plan to drop SEAT as a brand and just have CUPRA. :-k. :-k

As for the Tribe editions? Not my cup of tea although a choice beyond Black, White and Grey would be nice.

Eco and sporty, what do we think? I think the matte paint looks cool.

I like the Manganese matte colour, but I wouldn’t ever have matte paint; too much hassle and a chore to keep it looking good. Anyone with matte paint who’s a bit too enthusiastic removing unwanted deposits such as bird poo could end up with non-matte patches on their price and joy if they use unsuitable products and / or rub too hard. Supermarket car park scratches can’t be polished out either, and I dread to think what damage a hand car wash place might inflict on a matte paint finish, not to mention the free complementary dealership service wash! 😮

I‘ll stick with a good old traditional gloss paint finish.
