Hey just got a Leon cupra r mk1 225

Mods list
Paddle clutch
Stage one remap from amd so 260 bhp
Millitek cat back
Forge diviter valve
Ram air induction
On coil overs

The mods above where all ready on the car

I need to get the alloys sprayed and refurbed, steering wheel needs replacing as you can start to see the redness in it and the same with the gear nob. Oh and one of the side skirts has a square price missing I'm guessing you take the bit off when you are jacking the car up could be wrong

Just wondering what size steering wheel should I go for if its after market for eg momo and is there any other mods you recommend for the future.

I was thinking either getting the alloys sprayed in gun metal grey and respray
PHP:
the calliper as they are starting to loose the brembo colour. But something in the back of my mind tells me to go for a dark gold look for the alloys and the seat badges lol

Ps how do I upload a picture lol

Welcome to the site, best post any questions in the Leon Mk1 section, regarding pictures you need to use an image hosting site such as Photobucket . Also you cannot post pics until you have 15 posts iirc.

You're right about the side skirt bit. Once they come off they can be an arseache to get back on. Took one off once and had a bit of difficulty getting it back on. Read some threads here, asked a few people and ended up putting it in hot water for a bit and it just snuck back on nicely.

Recently took another one off and no matter what I do the arsehole doesn't wanna go back on!

Regarding the steering wheel, I've had aftermarket wheels on previous cars, mainly momo corse but wouldn't do it nowadays because of the mot. Not saying to not do it, just to be sure of what the rules and what you'll do when it comes to mot time.

What I would do and am planning to do is get the wheel refurbed in black alcantara.

Never mind getting it back on I don't have one was missing when I bought the car lol I don't know what there even called so I can order it lol and black Alcantara heh going to have to google to see what it looks like. I was thinking maybe like a cherry, midnight purple something along those lines but the sensible side of me says back or grey might put some decals on it to make it go faster lol

They're called jacking points. You could try David at sere motors, a trader on this forum, genuine seat parts, very reasonable and very helpful. Ordered loads of stuff off him.

Would like to see pics of what you do with your wheels but if you wanna see a black one with graphite/grey/anthracite wheels have a look at goldies LCR. He's got his thread here http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=370962

Weird yes but that's how it was intended so join the club!

Red hoses. I did order them in black for the front mount intercooler (fmic) but they didn't have black in stock at the time.

Just be aware that if you do go for an aftermarket steering wheel your airbag light will come on.

On a previous car I was able to get hold of an hkb boss http had the correct resistor in which meant that when the ignition was turned on the airbag light would come on and then go out as required. But I think nowawadays if an airbag was fitted to a car originally it needs to be on the car otherwise it'll fail.

I could be making the fail bit up but I'm sure I've read that somewhere. Just want to make you aware of any potential problems.

Nice one for that I hate having lights on the dash really annoys me going to have to find a decent price replacement they seem to be expensive I thought they'd be cheap I like the red hoses might order some I'm thinking of getting a speed hunters banner for my windscreen in grey what you think ?

I'm old skool. Ie. Old. Prefer a car to be quick and look pretty standard. Your car, if you like it, go for it.

You can turn individual airbags off using vagcom
I removed all my airbags and wiring and closed the gateway so have no light on

The actual fitting of the wheel is easy but you'd need to go to someone who is knowledgeable with the vag cars to turn light out otherwise they'd want to resistor it out
