yeah Im only interested in the Cupra type, the other one is far too chavvy IMO, just wasnt sure if there was a difference between a 3dr version and a 5dr (As I presume the bootlid is different on both)

There is a difference between the 3 doors and 5 doors. I also have been looking to a cupra spoiler but realise your third braking light will have to replaced as well. Because at a cupra it's in the spoiler instead of the tailgate. That's why I am looking for the aerodynimic one. Has anyone ordered this spoiler?:

It's a reproduction of the aerodynamic spoiler and it costs only a third of the OEM spoiler (5F0071606B) in Holland they are €300,-.

surely the spoiler just sticks over the top, so you disconnect the brake light in its current position and connect the new one which sits over the top of it? they wont have made a different tailgate for Cupra models

I don't think that will work out. Correct me if I am wrong but I think the cupra has a different brake light.

I also read on a Dutch forum that Cupra owners would like to fit an Aerodynamic one but it doesn't fit to a Cupra.

Seen that one its not very nice....

Ok,I've got a bit further with the parts catalogue

There's are 3 different cupra spoilers for the 3 different body styles.
The light in the cupra spoiler clips directly into the standard high level brake light.
There's also a trim panel to enclose it all. The spoiler is glued/bonded on, there are no screws

Hi

Im going to order a Leon FR 184 within the next couple of weeks. Ideally i would like to get the Aerodynamic Kit but with the cupra spoiler and Black Line Spoiler. i was just about to give up on this idea when i saw ukoldschool's previous post. i've been searching the web and all i could find was "it could fit" "it should fit" and "it won't fit"

Does anyone know of anyone who has actually done or tried it

Also the original front bumper is quite good looking especially with the black wrapping mods. I haven't seen any leons with the body kit around here (Cork, Ireland) and im in two minds as to get the full Aerodynamic Kit factory fitted or get the side skirts and rear bumper and exhaust separately.

Any suggestions please as i have to make my mind up soon

The cupra spoiler will definately fit an fr as they use the same tailgate. The same spoiler is also used on the Eco motive models. You need to make sure you order the right set of parts for the body style you have, as there are 3 different types. The spoiler is glued on and will require painting after it has been fitted. The aerodynamic kit is just plain nasty, it's certainly not an improvement on s standard fr imo

Yea you need it painted before fitting that way you can get paint on all edges and you won't end up with overspray all over your car I've been a body and paint technician for 12 years always the way we've done it I fitted the btcc kit to my mk2 and spoiler was glued on all came with the kit best to use some strong double sided tape to keep it in place well glue dries I am going to fit a spoiler and side skirts to my new fr soon not the aero bumpers don't think there worth the money not different enough for the price .

I can see what you are saying, but painting it and then fitting it will leave a potential shade difference and also no paint 'filling in' the joint. On a 5f leon once fitted you only need to paint a small section of the original tailgate (that's still showing under the spoiler) and the spoiler itself, the rest of the car can be masked off so no chance of overspray and a better overall finish?
