Since Tuesday my Dash has been doing an imitation of a Christmas Tree!

Driving along normally, I hear a ping noise, the power steering and ABS lights glow orange, the glow coil light flashes orange and the hand brake warning light flashes red. I drive another half mile or so get to my destination and check over the car, nothing seems wrong, all fluid levels up to the mark etc Fire the car back up all lights were out!

Drove on a bit more about an hour later then the ABS light comes on, switch the ignition off then back on, back to normal. Going home from work that evening, ping noise again the same lights come on as earlier in the day, this time the speedo drops to zero. On a downhill section of the motorway, I turned off the ignition, when I switch it back on again, all lights are out & we are back to normal!

This has gone on for the last few days, the ABS light is the one that comes on the most.

I got thinking about this, I have winter tyres on the front, they are bigger than standard so the front wheels are turning slower than the back wheels. Could this be causing the problem?

Hi - You need to have all 4 corners with winter tyres as the manual says that it will affect your handling and Driver stability

Hi Mardon
8k, fuel consumption is still shite and I'm really pi55ed off with DPF regens!!
Took the snow tyres off yesterday and not had any light on so it must have been the mis match in wheel sizes. Strange how it was not affected first couple of weeks!
