seen this in the FAQ section basically have a few questions for any one that can answer them

are there any let downs with this e.g. with USB only limited to 6 folders etc. are there any limits with the amout of storage e.g. 16/32gb ipods etc. also does the ipod charge and play at the same time so you can perminently leave it in the car or does it charge with the key out aswell? meaning it would drain the battery if left in,

also does the cable / cradle come with this or do you have to pay more, do you get both or do you only get one?

I think these are questions you will need to ask Dension. As i dont think anyone here has one yet.

The Gateway 100 only has the iPod connection & Aux input - no USB connection. The Gateway 300 & 500 have USB connection.
It charges whilst playing but switches off when the key is out.

You get a choice of having either active cradle or not. I just have the docking cable & have the iPod sitting in the armrest.

Hmm... Had a reply from them the other day about iPhone 3G charging, they said email back in 2 weeks. Maybe they are still developing something.

i have now got it and fitted it, good piece of kit.

one question tho, even after the car has been switched off and radio turned off the ipod still says dension connected on the screen, and stays on for 5 mins then the screen goes off which is fine, BUT

is the ipod still draining power as i dont want to end up with a flat battery

In front of a PC....
This seems to pop up everywhere now, why did apple change the charge pins in the 3G, really annoying me, as most things wont work!

Money...that is what it really boils down to. Its cheap to make iPods, iPhones etc without the firewire component that allows you to charge via the USB.

Ah... Didnt realise that, I just thought apple were being funny... changing the charge method... therefore make more money selling seperate "iphone 3G" stuff!
