hey guys, i drive a 07 mk2 leon diesel FR, im jus wondering what i can do to my car next?
im looking to improve the handling and of course the speed and performance of the car but not sure what modifications to do. Obviously there is getting the car remapped which will make the car faster! Any suggestions are more than welcome, no suggestions are unwelcome!:) experiences would also be nice,

as i am looking to change my car to a cupra in 2 years i do not want to do any major modifications! many thanks,

Chris

Im getting the dpf delete done soon so I will have a blufin unit going spare which in my experiance did change the standard fr considerably. Much smoother, better pull throughout the gears, a definate power increase.

How much are you after for the Blufin. I'd be interested. Will it work with my FL FR TDI?

Im not sure mate, somebody on here might be able to tell us if itl work or not. Prob be talking around £350 mark, they're £445 new.

Just spoke to superchips and they can reset it it for a fee, are the face lift models the new common rail engines?

Its about an hours labour £50.0 and yes it SHOULD be the CR engine [ it would be interesting if the SC chap had had any new CR's Rolling Roaded, it just that the "old" FR 1P's seemed to be detuned when put in for a service by SEAT to save the DPF so what are the CR's coming up with now??]

I wish it was £50, dont know if its because the bluefin is a month passed its warrenty but he was asking three times that. Still its better than just having the unit laying around gathering dust.

dpf delete and straight through. then custom map from reputable place. Plenty on here who do good jobs ;)
Power gains are good, but more so, the driveability and drivable power is second to none.. Cant emphasise how important that is :D its worth payin a bit extra for a proper job

Sorry do jump into the confo. But i got a leon fr 56 plate. What does this dpf delete do then?

As i have had it a few times kick in and its rather annoying.

dpf delete means that they throw the dpf in the bin and you get more power, better mpg, and no stupid regen processes

So you dont know what DPF delete does, but you HAVE had " IT " kick in a few times and is rather annoying?

........Sooo, exactly WHAT kicked in, and why was it annoying? :)

I should of been more specfic. Ie does it get removed all togther or some software stops it happerning.

No need to make me sound a complete noob flavoured lol.

I was just kidding gooseuk, perhaps its bad of me for having a light hearted outlook.

Yes, with a 'DPF delete' the DPF component as part of the exhaust, gets removed (binned) altogether. Then usually you have a straight through exhaust in its place.

It doesnt affect emissions with it removed to that extent, but does mean a little more black smoke out the exhaust with it removed. But no adverse affects. On the plus side, with the DPF in place it is restrictive, so when its removed the engine can breath a little easier = a few extra bhp. :)

Np falvoured mate. Yeah that does sound like somthing worth doing. As i have had my car 6months and done nothing to it lol.

I surpose to get this done a specialist is needed?

You have until friday to get on this group buy. There is quite a good discount, and JBS are (apparently) the original "DPF Deleters"
