I have a set of Yakima Whispbars that I used to use on my old Mk3 Leon Cupra Hatchback. I just got a Mk4 Leon ST PHEV and I want to change the feet to reuse the bars. I'm seeing on roofbars.co.uk that the Mk3 bars are not compatible with the Mk4, but the Yakima website shows that they are. Just want to get some solid feedback before I spend 30quid on new mounts.

The answer is simply YES. But the answer applies only to ST model. Previous model (mk3 ST) roof bars / rails are 100% compatible with the mk4 ST model. I've had roof bars which I bought for my 2014 Leon ST (mk3). Then I used them with my 2017 Leon ST (mk3.5 face lift) and now I am using them with Leon ST PHEV 2022 (mk4). My bars are THULE brand.

They are these: Rapid System Kit 4015 and I have the basic Square Bars. Square bars are OK if you have a ski box on them, like I do. I would go with the aero bars though if using them without a box like having a bicycle on roof etc.
