Dog Guard

Does anyone know where i can get a dog guard that fits the new Mk2 Leon, i have been hunting for ages and cannot find anything. I contacted a company in London recently but they said they would have to see the car and measure up to fit, and i am afraid that a 1200mile round trip to do that isn't the best solution i have found.

I also want a dog guard for the leon. Have contacted the dealers and they advise that there is a guar available for every modet EXCEPT the leon, asked if any of the others are likely to fit and they said no.

If you find one that fits from another company then please let me know

I would never let a dog in my Leon !! How about just pulling up the 3 back headrests to their max height? Temporary solution?

only the left and right headrests go up far enough - the middle one doesn't have any adjustment (apart from an inch) - the dog can jump over the middle headrest.

Replacement headrest with longer adjusters is £85

I know it's an old thread but I thought I'd let you know I purchased a Dog Guard for my MK2 Leon from www.travall.com, it takes about a minute to put in / take out, and you can, with a bit of coaxing put the parcel shelf in too.

This is the only one I have found!
I've just bought a new boxer puppy, and one of the main reasons for ditching my FTO for a leon was because of the dog. As he's only tiny, I havnt got anything just yet!

I also like the bumper guards you can get, they just flop out to protect the back bumper when he's jumping in and out!

If anyone tries anything, I'd like to know what you get please

A noob here. I changed from a Golf with a £9.99 Argos tube guard to the Leon. Not finding a tailor made guard I bought a Dog Bag, like a folding kids play tent. Keeps the dog from jumping around and leaping out when you open the rear door. See www.dog-bag.co.uk

I'd personally prefer a cage, or built in guard! A tent, or bag offers no protection in a crash, and believe it or not, about 4 weeks back I went to a car crash, and the boot flew open and threw the dog out, it was killed! (i'm a firefighter) the family were gutted! As I would be, so i'd rather pay that little more for better protection!

People just think about protecting the car, and not safety!
