Well as said in the title really I walked put to my car yesterday pressed unlock all windows went down and I could hear the lock mechanism repeatedly locking and unlocking over and over then stopped after a few mins.

This morning while driving to work it did it again, only noticed because I saw both indicators flash on and off intermittently.

Anyone had or hear of a problem like this?

Had this before randomly, was changing my rear wheel in the winter and this began to happen. Nothing bad has ever come from it as of yet (touch wood).

Do you use the spare key by any chance?

Well car is still playing up.

Came out to it this morning with all 4 windows down locking and unlocking itself, drove into town came back to the car park to find all 4 windows down again.

Replaced a brake light and as i walked away it activated the locks about 15 times and windows all came down.

This happens with locking on fob or in lock.

Door lock module maybe??

Ive been haveing the same problem over the last few days ,any info would be great.

Had this happening on my 2002 Audi A4 last year. Can we call that a distant relative?:D.
Just on the windows though.
Apparently it was the lecky window control module. Only did it in winter time though.
Someone drove into it at the end of last year and wrote it off.
Never got round to fixing it.

I have exactly the same problem, car has been sat still for a week. Went to open it for the first time yesterday and all windows come down. Drove it home, took the key out of the ignition and all windows go down again. Hoping a decent drive in it this weekend will help clear the problem. I dont particularlly like the sound of parking it up somewhere for the windows to go down later on.

I tried removing fuses 14 and 38 last night yet the windows still went down so sounds like a short somewhere

Yeah that was worrying me aswell , the fact that someone could steal cd player etc as the car was open with windows down that and it could rain all day/night.

bit of a pain in the ass but you could just pull a lead of the battery,at least then you know its safe.

Hi folks,
I've just had this randomly start last night. Now i'm sitting in work paranoid.

Has anyone had a definite fix for this?

definitely sounds like a visit to the dealer is in order

no modifications in the code has been done like with the obdeleven box

if battery is the issues windows might go down to make life easier but from a theft point of view thats just to easy for the ****

deffo pull the fues like that guy ^^^
