Hi Guys,

ive currently got a standard headunit in my 58 plate, Its doing my head in its started skipping really badly even on brand new CD's so its time to replace, ive never been an ICE guy so need some advice

My car has OEM Bluetooth and Steering wheel controls so i need something thats compatible with them, Looked at the RSN510 and RCD510 but both seem expensive.

Mums just got a Pioneer AVIC 920BT in her smart car would this model be compatible with my Bluetooth and Steering wheel controls?

I have just seen a VW version of the RNS510 for £380.00 that is very resonable ... from eBay!!

Still need to shell out for the iPod comparability though. That's another few hundred quid - cant see why they're so dear?

I have a PIONEER AVIC-F9110BT very nice bit of kit. the mapping is great and the sound quality is so much better than the standard piece of **** they put in there. there are few of these on fleabay for around 350.
As its designed for VAG its just plug and play (you need to place the bluetooth mike and sat nav aerial in a sensible place but that is it

i paid 310 for mine on fleabay & am very happy. I nearly bought the RNS510 but all the missing functionality i want meant it was not worth it.

Have you looked at the RNS 315? Or has anyone...I just bought it, has DAB, Bluetooth and sat nav, can get the VW firmware or Seat firmware which is the same as the new seat media system 2.2 in the latest Leon's. I think!
