i had the dpf removed and a remap about three months ago about 1 month later the dpf light came on again turned car off and on again then gone, but comes on at least 3 times a week then after could this be a bad sensor if so how could i test, also seem smokey and holding back when light comes on

More likely a pressure sensor issue!

GO back to the remapper to get it checked out! There should be fault codes on your car!

Kinjamin

The pressure sensor should be around £45 dont know what your mapper charges for diagnostic check!

Hope this helps!

Kinjamin

The problem is with the software, the DPF removal has not been done correctly.

been back again put on vag-com ,no fault code, but there is this one in pending faults dpf sensor 1 G450 high voltage could this be the problem and does anybody have part number for the senor and digram location please

The sensor does need to be in working order, as it is not just used for DPF related issued.

Had a look today and the guy who took the PDF filter off as blocked the two pipes from the sensor so now a bitstuck do I need it on the exhaust system
?

Are the sensors still electrically connected?

Rick

Ok, that's a good start. It could be that the sensor is going faulty, but, if the actual DPF light is coming on, then it hasn't been done properly I'm afraid :(

We see this issue a lot unfortunately. What year/engine is the car?

Rick

What has your tuner said to you? Did they do both the remap and DPF removal?

Rick

No had the PDF.removed by some one.else made up a s/s pipe and put all the sensors back but not the pressure sensor ,then running guy did remap been back and forward with him but now think it's the blocking of pipes or the sensor is going down

Get the sensors positioned as they were in the exhaust originally and go from there. We are in Stockport if you continue to struggle :)

Rick

I had the same problem. I got the same software as other Leon 1P 2007 models, but mine still had problems. Light goes on, much smoke, powerloss... So they made more changes.

Now the light still goes on, when I am in a traffic jam for half an hour. But it will not effect the performance of the car AND no more smoke.

So you probably will need your software changed..
(I have software from a dutch company JD... Not a recommendation :)

Some tuners don't know what they doing with the Siemens PPD1.x especially when it comes to maintaining integrity of the DTC tables. ECUsafe is not the solution lol
