Driveshaft?

Ive had some sportlines put on last week and the garage broke my driveshaft (end part?)
well they have now fixed it and are waffling on about how leons(2.0 TDi DSG) are not ment to be lowered (mugs).
anyway, they said because of the lower springs the driveshaft would sit different and could cause problems.
personally i smell bulls**t as i researced enough threads on here and nothing of the sort came up.

does the extra weight of the DSG box have an effect?
thoughts/ideas?

I have read on here that lowering your car will damage you driveshafts, in the long run i hope cause mines on sportlines. I think it puts more strain on shafts at being in a different position. Its in the long run not when fitting

Not at all, total cr@p you only have to look at the amount of golf gtis lowered and s3's with dsg etc and never ever herd of this, i wouldnt use them again if this is the cr@p they come out with and personaly i would let them know they are talking complete bullsh!t aswell.

how the hell did they manage to break a driveshaft ? they could probably cause damage to the spline on the cv joint, i'd ask for the broken part if i was you. I have heard that you can cause damage to driveshaft / joints when lowering the car, its because of the angle that the driveshaft sits at is different. Although i've never known anyone actually suffer this.
