Driving in limp mode ????

My car has just turned 91000 mile DPF light came on , cleared it out by driving it, then it's come back on again, engine management light came on and now glow plug light on and now it's gone into limp mode. Is it ok to drive to the garage? I've read that dpf filter is at end of it's life at 90000 is that right and how much will it cost for new dpf filter? tia.

Driving in limp mode is fine - that's what it's for

Obviously drive the bare minimum you can

Thanks for the reply. Its cos the dpf has got to its max by the sounds of it and the engine management light has come on and gone into limp mode. My seat garage is 20 miles away and didnt want to do any damage to it.

New DPF from dealers is around £1000-£1200 I believe?

Or get the DPF deleted & remapped for £650-£750 with 230-240bhp

Ive just took it into my local seat dealer and they said cos mine has done 90000 miles i will have to pay £150 to get the filter and the software, But if it turns out to be the dpf that needs replacing then it will be £1300 !!! Dont think so..
Ill be getting the damn think took out and a bit more power for less than half the price Only thing that worries me that its been mentioned about them needed for mot`s in a year or so

I had heard, that they will only be checking on cars from 08 onwards, so you still might be able to de-dpf, I would take a chance, its still half price compared to your dealer bill.

Mine is an 08 so looks like it might affect mine then. When they bringing this out ?? And is it just down to the MOT station to check it ??
