Driving Modes and Gearbox Display (between ignitions)

Happy weekend all! Searched and couldn't seem to find existing thread/answer, feel free to link me.

Leon 300 ST 2019.

Dashboard displays gearbox:

• M1+ etc for manual in any mode.
• D1+ etc for drive in Normal modes.
• S1+ etc for Sport or Cupra modes.
• E1+ (sometimes just E) if I use an Individual mode with eco gearbox setting.

Now if I'm in a mode that shows S1+/E1+, then turn off ignition then return to the car later, it'll remember mode, BUT the gearbox will now show D1+ when it should show S1+/E1+.

Is the gearbox still in the right mode and the dash is just not displaying the right letter, or has it lost the gearbox mode on restart?

Gearbox always reverts to D on restart. You have to select Sport or Cupra mode again to put the Gearbox into that mode again.

Well that's annoying! Do we know if other settings like DCC are unset?
