DRL not working

I've a 2016 Leon FR, the DRL led has gone out on just the nearside light, does this mean a complete replacement headlight or is there a way around it ?

Welcome to SCN, think it means a new unit, but post/search in the Leon threads in the SEAT car forums for more info.

You could turn em both off using OBD11, then it won’t look odd.

@NigelF - be aware that forward facing DRL’s became a legal requirement on new models of cars introduced from 2011. I think the mk3 Leon was launched in 2012 so would be subject to the legal requirement.

Strangely, it seems that for MOT purposes that DRL’s only need to be inspected if fitted as original equipment to vehicles first used on or after 01/03/2018.

Headlamp, position lamps, daytime running lamps, stop lamps, indicators, hazard warning lamps, fog lamps, reversing lamps, lighting ‘tell-tales’, trailer electrical socket, electrical wiring and battery rules and inspection for car and passenger vehicle MOT tests.

I have mine off, and turn em on via infotainment before MOTs. Might not bother any more then. My cars 2015.
