Hi guys

Has anyone had a remap on a Mk 3 FR 150 with a DSG gearbox?

If so, how much did it cost, and did the gearbox cope well with the extra torque?

Cheers

FWIW, I had a Shark stage 1 remap of my FR 180 (which is equipped with the same DQ200 gearbox and also has 250Nm of torque as standard) in June for £399 and haven’t had any problems with the DSG.

Thank you.

I've just had a quote from Performance Engineering in Cardiff of £250 for a custom tune on their dyno with before and after printouts.

They say the remap should produce around 190bhp and 430-450nm.

FWIW, Shark and Revo claim up to 370Nm on their stage 1 remaps for the manual gearbox but limit the torque to around 300Nm for the DQ200 / DSG 7 speed.

Although I see that there’s a Kevlar clutch pack upgrade which can apparently handle up to 470Nm but it costs over £1,000!

Hi guys

Well, I finally had my MK3 TDI FR 150 DSG remapped.

Wow! What a difference.
I had a stage 1 ECU remap for £250.

The car is actually enjoyable to drive now, and very responsive.

The figures from the rolling road are below:

183.4 bhp at 3849 RPM

398 Nm (293.5 ft lb) at 2031 RPM
