yes its dual mass but looking for the replacement is alot more work than u might think

replaced my clutch 2 weeks ago with another standard item, done 300miles and loving every minute of it, but there was no cost effective route to an uprated clutch. plus theres no need for one under 250bhp imo

plus if ur looking at getting a new fly wheel too ur looking at alot more on top.. do ur research if i was u, G60 is something u might like to look into

yeah i seen all about that mate i made a post earlier in the year and mentioned that exact one myself but the lack of a known brand...thoughts of too good to be true put me off

i done some reading and it turns out alot of companies paint the parts red and thats about the only difference...and sometimes the parts are even worse

if ya not looking to spend much money, get a standard one...i ended up paying 160quid for a standard part (theres a thread somewhere in mk3 section if u want a read about my adventures)...vwspares offer one for 87quid delivered but it turned out to be the wrong one 220mm instead of 228mm

u should be able to source the standard one much cheaper than wot i paid, the garage that done the work for me made a tidy mark up after they quoted a pretty cheap labour

tbh i dunno much about it but iv never heard of mounting a diesel clutch up with a G60 flywheel, afaik the flywheel is not a problem and the only reason to swap it is for the lightened/balanced types or to mount a different size clutch.

as for 'real' uprated parts i only know of helix but ur talking loads

nothing straight forward in this game lol

ive had prices from my local supplier of £80 and £110 depending on what size(no doubt the dearer one)plus if i play a couple against each other it should come down again.

having use of the garage where i work is a big bonus
