E-hybrid mode settings question

Hi all,

Is there anyway to set the battery mode to stay in hybrid mode with a custom battery limit set rather than having to do it every time you start the car.

the car will always start in emode and kick into hybrid when power is needed, but having to set the battery level every time is a pain!

Hi, I'm curious to know why you would want this? Is it not best to use your available electric range first?

Well a couple of reasons, for battery health it is good to not let the car go below 10% or so consistently, and the manual states that hybrid mode is the most efficient mode. Using emode in town, slow driving is I think the most optimal way to use the electric power, and keeping a certain % for town driving later in a journey is what I want to do, its just annoying to have to set it every time before you leave on a journey

But Seat don’t use more than 9,4kWh of the 12,8kWh capacity so there must be a top and bottom buffer of 10-15% without fiddling around.

It seems not. Even with 1% battery life it will start in E-mode. I frequently forget to adjust the battery reserve level so it drains even on the motorway and leaves me with only the fuel engine driving like crap in the town center i was driving to. I assume this has to be locked to as much E mode as possible to get the Euro norms. Just as active safety futures such as lane assist cant be permanently switched of due to safety norms.

This is exactly the way I want to use the hybrid mode, on the longer cruising roads use the engine so that there is battery left for town driving and from moving off in traffic

Me too, so you manually need to go to hybryd mode, set the battery drain to = in hybrid settings and switch back to e modus in town

The lane assist can be changed to remember the last setting with a little bit of long coding with OBDeleven :)
I will strongly defend my opinion that having it off is safer. Especially here in Sweden where there is snow half the year and the road markings are in a bad state of repair.
