hi ppl.

i did a quick search but no luck...
as some of u may know iv just recently taken collection of my LCR  basically wen i fold in my mirros, iv noticed that the drivers mirror is slightly slower at folding in than the passenger side mirror!

i just wanted to check that this is normal? or do you find ur passenger mirror is the slow one? or are they both the same, as they should be!?

i know this may seam like an odd post and that im being a fuss hole  but i just wanted to see if anyone else has this minor problem?

cheers,
james :)

Not a problem James, my LCR does exactly the same thing!! although the LC I owned before took the same time, but then the drivers mirror didn't fold in as much as the passenger one!!

swings and roundabouts me thinks!!

Mirrors

My drivers side mirror doesn't fold in as much as the passenger side. Just one of those mildly annoying things that I'll check on the next one before buying.

jonesy... the electric folding mirrors are wicked! i love this feature! :p lol

both my mirrors fold in the same amount, just the drivers is about half a sec slower (yes its noticable!) lol

i just find it a bit annoying!

was thinking of maybe goin to the local stealers, but i think il wait to see wat more ppl on here say 1st. (as in if most ppl have same/similar problem then il leave it, other wise i may as well get it corrected!)

out of insterest and this is a dumb question but still  ... i assume i can fold in my mirrors manually??? :hide:

james :)

foldy mirrors

mine be the same on my new fr, seems like a standard thing, no worries

my FR's mirrors don't work at exactly the same rate, this is common for small electric motors, regardless of what they pulling / pushing / turning. if you could line up 10 Leons with foldy mirrors and activate them all at the same time you'd see a slight difference in speed with some of them.

Same on mine.
First car I've had with folding mirrors, certainly handy for tight spaces!

ok cheers ppl!

so it just seams like the drivers mirror is slightly slow/lazy!

oh well, il av to live with it

tho i do love them... just a twist of a button and waaaaay!

james :)

oh yea... i assume the mirrors can be folded in manually???? just wonderin lol :hide:

I'm sure the manual says to always use the leccy way of folding. There may be damage to the mechanism or motors if you force them by hand..

Shoot me if I'm wrong though....

Mirrors can be folder in manually without a problem, I have done it a couple of times.

With the new style mirrors the drivers is slightly slower and doesn't fold in quite as much but better than the older style mirrors.

OMG not this again

At the top the Leon section is a sticky from andyB, answering general Leon questions;-

Here's a link
http://www.seatcupra.net/users/andyb/leonFAQ.htm

A quarter of the way down that page the topic of External Mirrors is covered including answers to;-

Why mirrors RH and LH don't fold the same amount
Can mirrors be manualy folded

etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,

I hoped by my 3,000post we'd be on to some new topics :(

cant see it mention anywhere anything about the colour of the mirrors!
