Engine code location????

I have a Ibiza 1.9 TDI where can i find the engine code ive searched all over the engine and in the manual cant find it please help!

sticker top of the timing belt cover - usually under the acoustic top cover though

or a cleaner safer way - look at your logbook/registration documents

as example is engine code + serial number

Yeh mine is under the air intake pipe ontop of the timing belt cover.
