Engine failure

Anyone ever had the experience of a diesel engine failing on them in a car with less than 30k on the clock?

how has it failed? Turbo blown? Does happen...

The engine started rattling as i was slowing down at a junction. Turned the engine off. Opened the bonnet. Oil was coimng out the thing. My car needs a new engine. Unknown cause as yet. Considering I had a Golf with the same engine for 60k miles with no problem, this was a bit of a shock.
