Error: Rear View Camera

Hey,

So I have a problem with my reverse camera where it shows a Error: Rear View Camera while reversing and the inforntainment just shows the radar without the camera view. I have pulled out the fuse and put it back and everytime it works perfectly fine again for 1-2 days until it shows the error again. There doesn't really seem to be any problems with the camera when it does work but when ever the error comes I have to pull out the fuse to reset it again. I had this same error about 1,5 years ago but then when I pulled the fuse and returned it, it worked all the way until now. Any suggestions to how to solve this issue? Thanks!

Think it's a software issue? My car hasn't been updated for maybe 1,5 years but so far before it has worked fine. I took a photo of the software versions.

Ah fair enough if it’s a fairly new issue.. have you done a diagnostic scan?

I have the same problem. The steering wheel was overheated by the sun, then I got a warning saying: cruise control unavailable and after that, when I put the car in reverse, there was no image from the camera... What color has the fuse and where I can find it?

The manual says: 21 Rear camera 7.5 A (brown).

I've replaced the old camera (5WA980556A) with a new one (5WA980556B), because it was corroded. Too much water near the camera from multiple car washes was the reason.

Was it just plug and play, or did it need coding / config?

It needed coding and calibration. I also plugged the rectangular hole under the bumper where the water entered.

Thanks for the speedy reply! How much did the coding and calibration set you back, and where did you have it done (and could it be done remotely, do you know)?
