Exchanging complete engine?

Can i exchange the whole engine on my 10.99 1.6 Signo to something bigger?
I have the 74 kW engine today, but it would be nice to have even more...

I know of the "1.8 T 20V" Cupra version, But does it fit in the Signo?
And what else would i have to do in case i can swap?

whats a signo is that a special edition? i take it its a cordoba facelifted? vr6 or 2.0 16v supercharged or turbo'ed most vw audi engines wil fit with a bit of work

You should have no problems fitting a 20vt in. Get one out of an ibiza cupra and it'll be very easy to swap as the engine bay is identical.

Signo is supposed to be "equipment type" of som e sort..
Its nothing special about it as far as i can understand...
I saw a "Stella" version the other day at a dealer.
And as far as i could see it was just minor diff's in the equipment. (AC and such)

Well when swapping an engine it's advisable to uprate the suspension and brakes. If you could find an Ibiza curpa complete just swapp all the parts over

We'll se if i go thru with it.
I plan on buying a new Cordy as soon as my economy allows it. And the old one would be fun to "soup up" a notch or three.
The Cupra engine togehter with new suspension, brakes and a new set of wider tyres would make a fun toy.
