Hi

Just purchased a 2013 ST. Can anybody give me some clues on how to remove the centre armrest as I keep banging my elbow on it. I'll probably figure it out in time as I've done it on several cars before but any help would be gratefully received.

Hi mate, you had any luck in the removal?
You need to take the top half of the armrest off of the bracket, this is done by removing the side covers and having the armrest in an upright position. You may need to remove the centre trim as it may come in the way when you take the bottom mount off :)

You may find it easier looking at a guide showing how to fit it and following it in reverse order.. MK1 Leons have the same armrest i believe and i have seen a few guides up on the forum

Thanks will give it a try this evening. One or two small mods I want to try but that's got to be number 1

Regards

Hi

Had a look at it yesterday and it turns out to be very easy. Just remove the rear ashtray and you can see a single nut holding the alloy base of the armrest down. Remove the nut and you can lift the complete armrest assembly out.

It's left a rectangular hole but I should be able to find a small coin tray or something similar to blank it off.
