Seems to be a good enough system, does it have an option for arm/disarm chirping and if a door was left ajar a warning chirp?

I believe you can enable the chirping in vcds/vagcom. Unsure about your 2nd question.

as standard, if you leave a door open then when you arm the indicators don't flash IIRC.

and yes, you can turn on chips for arm/dismarm.
you can even change the sound of the alarm, some are a bit comical, but good to be able to recognise your own alarm

Yh this is what I'd like I've been fitting alarms for years but now I'm semi retired I cba to fit 1 lol

you need vag com and then you can do this, the info is on here somewhere. where abouts are you? there may be someone near you with vagcom who can help.
