Fault code help

Just tested for fault codes and this has popped up.....

Whats happens with both windows if there lets say fully down is if you try and put them fully up (clicks twice) it goes up and about 4 inch from the top and goes back down again.



The only way to put it all the way up is to do it but by bit which is a b*ll ache lol.

Both windows? this fault code is for a right rear window, so you have four to choose from. Which one is it you are having trouble with?

" if you try and put them fully up (clicks twice) " Don't understand this. In my car the rear window switches have to be held up to keep raising the window. On the front windows, a pull up to the second detent of the switch will make the window go all the way up. What car are we talking about here?

It sounds as though the window is stiff, and that the torque required is so high that the pinch protection is cutting in.

The Ross-Tech Wiki for that code is your friend here, it gives a reset procedure to try for this fault.

Yeah I have a fault code for both rear windows but I just didn't put the other fault up since its the same.

I will try what it says on the website it's just the window has been like that for ages however the fault code has just appeared in the last couple of weeks.
