firing on 3!

went to go out in my car i got bout 200yrds down the road and it started splutterin so i pulled over and it sounds like its firing on 3 cylinders plus my engine lights on!? any ideas anyone?

Coil pack?

That'll be a coil pack failure, quite easy and cheap to fix, its a common VAG fault, don't worry. The replacement part will be available from a dealer. If you're a member of AA/RAC, its hit and miss whether they carry and spares.

I may be wrong but I think they have a 5 year warranty on them

Pretty sure they are about £25-£30 ish too...
