Hi folks.

Looking for yet more advice here...

Purchased some Team Heko wind deflectors for my 07 Leon. I will be fitting these in the morning.

Now i understand how these are fitted however i only got 4 x clips with my set - Now the instructions state to use 2 x clips per front deflector but no clips needed for the rears.

I have read, on here i believe, that people use clips on the rear deflectors apposed to the front deflectors - Which, in peoples experience is best?

Also would it be advised to add more double sided tape to all deflectors before fitting?

Again any advice would be great!

I recently (last week) fitted these to SWMBO's car, I added tape to both front and rear deflectors although my kit came with 6 clips, one front and rear for the fronts and one for the rear window, been ok since fitting.

I got 6 clips too didn't use any extra tape no problems at all been on for 6 months lots motorway driving windows partly down or all the way down

I had 6-8 clips with mine and put a bit of extra tape on them too. Use 2 per window if you can. But I have found mine to be sliding down a lil and the tape is showing. Will need to take them off and put some better tape on it.

What extra tape do people use to hold them up in the long run?

Yours are slipping with 8 clips and extra tape? I dont have much faith in mine if thats the case as i have half as many clips.

I was thinking about using a roll of number plate tape as extra, that stuff seems to stick number plates very well.

Was thinking about using 2 x clips per front deflector and just using extra tape for the rears - Best plan?

I have 3 clips on each front deflector, 1 on each rear. No extra tape. I've had zero problems since putting mine on around 6 months ago. If you have 8 clips and they're still falling out you've done something wrong!

I've only put one clip on my rears because the windows never to down, only my front ones do!

I also used number plate d/s tape trimmed to suit, heat the tape and deflectors if you can before fitting and once in place leave the windows up for, say, 24 hours to set into place.HTH

2 clips in front, 1 clip in back and no problems are several months. Front windows sometimes groan a bit when shutting and auto reopen when closing but they did that before.

If you only got six with them, guys, email the seller and tell them you should have received 8 (as per the instruction leaflet provided). Tell them you want your money back if they don't send them, as it'd be dangerous to other road users and to your car if they're fitted with anything less than the recommended 8 clips!...
They'll soon send you two more clips, and it'll stop the slipping problem too :)

Think my instructions only showed 6 clips, 4 front, 2 rear, the instructions were pretty vague though, I'll need to check them again if I can find them.
