I have just bought my square number plate but don't want to screw it into the bumper.

What's the best way to stick it to the front bumper without screwing it in? I heard 3M tape was good by obviously need something that will stay strong in all weather conditions. Therefore need it to be waterproof and don't want it coming off when I'm driving

Ive been after one for ages, don't want the full size square one though, do you have a smaller one?

3m tape is fine, once thats on its not coming off again without a heat gun and then a shite load of whitespirit to remove all the residue

Square plates are gonna interfere with air getting to the intercooler.

You can get a perfect square which is what I have or you can get a tiny motorbike one. not sure if the tiny motorbike one is legal on cars though.

I got mine from my local motorcar factors stock shop.

They dont. I logged a S2+ Cupra with a square plate and the intercooler was clearly being denied cold air and hence lower figures. Quick swap to a normal plate and the car was logging much better.

Now then Benji, I got a roll of that green number plate tape at the weekend from Halfords, is this really sticky? Have you used this? I'm worried I will be tearing along and my plate will fall off lol.

Whats the best way to fit this, I only ask as how the square plate will be fitted to the bumper, only the top half of the back of the plate will be touching the bumper. Is that enough of the plate touching the bumper to hold it on?

if uts the thick double sided stuff that has a green plastic cover on but is black underneath you'll be fine had mine on over a year and its still there. And although I haven't logged anything I haven't noticed any performance drops due to it blocking the fmic, I am a derv tho, and btcc bumper, Al does this make a difference?
