right I have posted before I'm just seeing if someone can can shed a light on a flat spot I have.

it seems to be in sometimes 3rd, mostly 4th,5th and 6th if i put my foot down at lower rpm around 2-3.5k it has a surge of power the it drops off can see the rev counter slow almost stop in the higher gears then pick back up again, my thought is maybe the dv because it have no faith in it I'm also looking towards the maf the car was run for 2 years with a k&n panel and I know they have trouble with oil.

I have a code reader/clearer coming off ebay that connects to laptop because I had an eml come on yesterday and go out again (could this have been because the thermostat had been changed and it had noticed something different or low on coolant/water).

Elm and stat  get a video of your revs stoping so we can see what you mean mate maf will cause poor running all over but can test it by unplugging it and if it runs better then you need a new on

When were the plugs and oil last changed? Always good to keep onto of ;)

I had a similer problem, which i still have, but nowhere near as noticable... I found a boost leak on the entry to the DV and i cleaned my MAF, which just about sorted it...

A sticky DV shouldn't cause it as it affects boost not revs does tge power noticeably stop as well?

tell me about it, so far it could be n97, coil packs, dv, sparks i dont think its maf bacause it was same when i un plugged it turbo, engine, or car its deffo one of them lol, a flat spot does show on the rev range doesn't it, i mean if less boost slower revs right? :)

I don't think so tbh it should still rev the same but I'm not sure if the boost is fluctuating it might affect the revs  N75 N249 are both maybe plugs if it was packs it would more tgan likely miss fire ;)
