Folding Mirrors Just Won’t Work.

Hi Guys, I’ve just got a 73 plate Ateca (yesterday) and everything is great apart from the folding wing mirrors.
I just can’t seem to get them to work when I lock the car.
They work fine from the manual controls inside the car.

I’ve searched on here and it seems that I just have to keep my finger on the lock button on the fob. But it doesn’t work.
I’ve tried pressing it twice and still nothing.

I’ve tried with the manual set to L, R and 0 but none work.

Is there a setting somewhere? If so, how do I access it?

Thank you

Hmmm. There is a menu toggle on the infotainment that might help.

Right hand text.

Basically it toggles off / on one touch closing. I suspect your one touch closing is currently turned off. The early Atecas to about 2019 didn't have that menu. You hang onto the outside Kessy stud or close button for 3 seconds then they close. Suspect that is how it's set on yours at the minute. Adjust the toggle in the infotainment to Easy touch and they should close fine without faffing about. As above.

2017 and 2018 have the faffing about way but you can bring out that menu as I did on those. See the Obdeleven thread on that for others. All Atecas and other Seats / Cupra with Kessy since circa 2019 have that toggle in the menu.

The other issue if the battery is taken off is retraining the mirrors and windows:

>>
Resetting one-touch opening and closing
The automatic open and close function will
not work if the battery has been temporarily
disconnected. The function can be restored
as follows:
– Close the window as far as it will go by lift-
ing and holding the electric window switch.
– Release the switch and then lift it again for
1 second. This will re-enable the automatic
function.
If you push (or pull) a button to the first
stage, the window will open (or close) until
you release the button. If you push or lift the
button briefly to the second stage, the win-
dow will open (one-touch opening) or close
(one-touch closing) automatically. If you op-
erate the button while the window is opening
or closing, it stops at this position.

Trust that sorts it.

Brilliant. Thanks so much for such a great reply.
I’ll try your suggestions in the morning.

I’ll let you know how I get on.

Really appreciated, thank you.

Ah it was getting late. Did occur after what year was plate 73. That means mib3. So you have got to find the mib3 button to press to do the equivalent.

Reckon for mib3 it's going to be on the cog mirrors and wipers setting. Will be on mirrors below / round about there any how. The manuals can be a maze and the car has many setting.
