hi i know there is an awesome guide on here to fix the dodgey leaking door seal (drivers). but as i am no mechanic and not much knowledge about cars/repairs, just how easy is it?

i dont want to get all the door trim off and realise oh crap i can not put it back on or ooops have i done this and that right.

the leaking is getting worse and the car mat is usually very wet in the morning.

so do you think someone like myself with not much knowledge on repairs is actually able to successfully sort it out.

also my passenger door , the lock seems slightly loose and difficult to turn to unlock it any body know a fix?

thanks all

The door seals are really easy I was like you last year and decided to do my own and it really is simple just give yourself plenty of time and don't rush you'll be fine.

Pm Dubsteve68 on here, he has done a nice write up on it, and he was nice enough to do it for me today since I dont have the know-how or patients to deal with that kind of stuff!

Not sure what problem you have with your lock, but though it seems obvious, get it sorted sooner rather than later!!

I've got a lock that became a little stiff, and it's now deadlocked shut, massive problem! Had to strip the door card off, take off the window mechanism and next looks like I'll have to use brute force to literally snap the lock before replacing it. Looked around online, and if you get the lock out of the door at the first sign of trouble they can usually be fixed. Bit of a clean up, some oil and re-solder the microswitches seems to get them good as new.
